BCFIRB approves the BCEMB’s proposed amendments to the producer-vendor category and New Producer Program Rules in the Consolidated Order. The implementation of these rules through the New Producer Program Policy remains subject to appeal to BCFIRB.

Introduction: BCFIRB to B.C. Vegetable Marketing Commission — Introduction of BCFIRB Member Liaison
BCFIRB introduces David Zirnhelt as the member liaison assigned to the BCVMC. Zirnhelt will support the Commission with 2021 governance-related projects and is available for discussions on governance, regulatory, or other issues. An initial meeting is proposed with BCVMC’s chair and vice-chair.

BCFIRB approves the BCCMB’s election rules and procedures under the British Columbia Marketing Scheme. The key change is the transition to electronic voting only, with a requirement for adequate notification for growers without email access.
