Appeal of BCVMC’s policy decision to restrict Delivery Allocation transfers to 100% of a crop period to a single transferee. The appellant argued that VMC failed to consult meaningfully and acted prematurely. Decision: Andrusek v. British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
Appeal of seizure and costs regarding four dogs and one cat in Abbotsford due to unsanitary living conditions, lack of veterinary care and abandonment following eviction. The animals were found in a rental unit after the expiry of the tenancy agreement.

Decision: Interim BCCMB pricing formula amendment prior approval period A-180
This is BCFIRB’s decision on the BCCMB’s November 18, 2022, request to extend the A-179 interim pricing formula (the 50% guardrail provision). BCFIRB approves the 50% guardrail provision for period A-180 only, but re-instates its adjustment for Ontario grower margins.

Approval: BCFIRB to B.C. Milk Marketing Board — B.C. Milk Marketing Board quota governance review
BCFIRB approves the BCMMB’s recommendations on quota governance, including general quota allocation, quota exchange and whole farm transfers. BCFIRB requires further action on the Graduated Entrant Program to mitigate “double dipping” and defers consideration of extending quota transfer assessment exemptions to fall 2014.
